Y-Not Variety has been a staple of West Somerville for over 50 years. We're family-owned, and proud to be part of the community we serve.
From the beginning, the goal has always been two things at once — a place where you can grab everything you need, and a place where you actually want to be. Somewhere the shelves are always stocked with your daily essentials, but where you might also run into a neighbor, catch up with a familiar face, or just feel at home for a few minutes.
Over the years, regulars have become like family. That spirit shows up most during the holidays — especially our annual Christmas party. It's one of those nights that reminds us why small businesses and family-owned shops are essential for building a warm, walkable, and accessible community.
